Not a quiet place. The world lives in Raval, here you can find any food ingredient, any weird object. Crowded at any time of the day, any day of the year. Yet, music jams in hidden bars at night is something to look for.
I came to Barcelona four years ago. I was looking for an easy job and some inspiration. I remember my first days here, it was like a breath of fresh air.
This illustration project is my interpretation of the barrios of the city and my homage to its people.
The late afternoon light passing through the buildings to illuminate Gracia's lively squares. The kids playing around while the grown ups chill tapeando. The little independent shops. The old people at the markets. The quiet streets at night. This is my barrio, this is my Barcelona.
When feeling stuck in the city I like to climb up to Montjuic. There's this little palm way behind the cemetery, where people walk their dogs. So, after many years my question to Barcelonians is one: why Greyhounds are this popular?
My least favourite place in the city. I can't stand the sun, the heat, the people, the people, the people, the people. But they love it so...have it my friends, it's all yours. I'll see you in winter!
A place for good vibes where I'd like to be more often. I've been wanting to learn roller skating forever but it requires a lot of time and dedication. Cheers for the good work of the one practicing!
A bit of a messy forest with some highlights and beautiful views. It's nice to have a place with some green not too far from the city. Coming from the Alps I do miss some more nature in Barcelona.
